Function:
The Lisa bra is intended for use following breast surgeries, particularly lumpectomy. It’s designed to cover the entire area in treatment, including the armpits, to provide the best possible protection, compression, and support, which results in a faster recovery. By applying pressure, the Lisa bra limits harmful blood and tissue fluid accumulations, reducing the postoperative swelling and the risk of infection, thereby improving blood circulation and wound healing. Lisa’s key function is to fix and support the breasts, assist with wound healing and provide the user with optimum comfort. This may produce smaller and nearly invisible scars.
Design:
Lisa’s design includes double cups that assure a perfect fixing and support of both the treated and the healthy breast. The wide harness provides an optimum support for the treated and healthy breasts and prevents corns or uncomfortable indentations. The fabric stretches in 4 directions and supports the breasts throughout recovery with its excellent stretching and shrinking capacities.
- To enhance breathability, Lisa is made chiefly of a polyamide yarn mixed with soft cotton that ensures perfect fixing, holding, and support while improving the friendly touch and comfort.
- The bra is stitch-free, with no stitches in the crucial places, e.g. around the cups, on the sides or in the armpits, like in most sports bras.
- For a more friendly touch and comfort, the bra includes a wide and soft band below the breasts, which also allows for easy and trouble-free draining.
- Women after a breast surgery often assume protective postures to secure the area in treatment. Lisa features a high backrest to correct the postoperative posture in order to protect muscles and joints against straining, alleviate neck, arm and back pains, and provide additional back support for the sake of a comfortable recovery.
